Douglas Brinkley on the 50th anniversary of the Alcatraz occupation

In 1969 Native Americans claimed possession of Alcatraz Island to raise the public's consciousness to the plight of Indians, and for 19 months occupied the former prison until they were forced off. Historian Douglas Brinkley remembers.
